Animal shelters
Shelters in Australia, including RSPCA are often in need of used sheets, towels and blankets for their animals. Many also have op shops, which redirect low-grade fabrics to companies that make cleaning rags. Call the nearest one to you to check on their need.

Recycling projects
In an Australian-first initiative, textile resource recovery company BlockTexx, is operating a series of linen collections around Australia called Give a Sheet® for the Planet! You can also Give a Sheet® for the Planet by donating your unwanted household linen, sheets and towels to be converted into valuable, high-grade recycled materials. How cool is that?

Communities in need
Homelessness is increasing and we can all help. One of the most requested items from homeless shelters and charities is bedding. Many charity shops accept bedding donations – so give your nearest ones a call.

Buying lovely new sheets when you have old sheets in good condition? Tell us.
When you buy a new sheet set from us, if you’d like, we can arrange for your old sheet set to be given to an Australian family in need. As long as they’re in good condition, we can collect your old linen, have it professionally cleaned and packaged (hospital grade oxygen-based washing process) and donated it on your behalf, to a family in need.

All you have to do is add ‘Give Back’ to your cart (in the comments section) and we’ll do the rest. It would need to be a full sheet set (with or without pillowcases) but it can be in any size.

Other ideas
Go old school. Cut your towels into smaller squares and use them as cleaning cloths around your home!

Call your local garage. Old towels, sheets and other textiles are often appreciated by mechanics who can use them as rags. Why not contact your local service to see if they’d like them.
